Handled admissions and assessment from within the prison, other Department of Correction (DOC) facilities and North Carolina county jails. Monitored patients, especially those whom demonstrated suicidal or homicidal tendencies. Quality checked chart and other medical records on a daily basis and identified potential problems, which required immediate action or continuous observations. Accurately administered, and recorded, patients response to psychotropic medications. Reviewed lab results to determine if they were within normal range. Initiated referral and follow up for patients who were in need of further evaluation.
